Judy Tanner Moon serves on the Finance Committee. She has a BA in Psychology and a MA in Religious Studies and works as a Chaplain at Zilber Family Hospice. Her interest centers on aging and one’s continued ability to grow— intellectually, emotionally and spiritually as we age and face new challenges. She accepted a position on the Board because she felt closely aligned with the mission and purpose of Saint_John's On The Lake.
Kathy Armbruster is a long time Episcopalian and is a member of All Saint’s Cathedral, Milwaukee, where she served on the Chapter and is currently on several committees. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business Administration and has worked in Leadership Development and Human Resources for most of her career. She is employed as a Consultant with Lauber Business Partners in Milwaukee. Kathy has prior work experience at Northwestern Mutual, and in collegiate and manufacturing settings. She has a strong interest in supporting Saint_John's to become an employer of choice in Milwaukee.
Diane Beckley Milner serves as the Statewide Director for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for the Alzheimer’s Association of Wisconsin. She has a strong passion for Real Estate Development and Community Engagement and is a skilled executive in Non-Profit Management. Diane holds a BA in International Cultural studies, she has twice served as the President of Milwaukee North Sunrise Rotary Club International where she coordinates and participates in local and international service and volunteer projects with Wisconsin, Nigeria, and Uganda. As an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, a community and business resource connector, Diane believes that Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is a personal and professional imperative, not an organizational or industry option.
Matt Coburn serves on the Finance Committee. He has worked in banking and finance for over thirty years, starting at the Marsh & Ilsley Corporation. He is currently a Managing Director in Fixed Income Capital Markets at Baird, assisting institutional investors with their investment needs. Matt’s undergraduate degree is from University of Maryland and he holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from The Kellogg School at Northwestern University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and served as President of the CFA Society of Milwaukee.
Matt has been very active in the community as a head coach for youth lacrosse and various other team sports. He has also served on the board of the Mequon Little League for more than 5 years. He and his wife Julietta have three children and attend St. Christopher’s Church in River Hills, Wisconsin.
Betty Arndt serves on the Governance Committee. Betty is a retired Vice President of Global Communications for Johnson Controls.
She earned a BA at Marquette University and an MA from the University of Wisconsin.
Betty has a passion for community service and serves on many boards including the Haggerty Art Museum, Sculpture Milwaukee, ProHealth Care, the Sharon Lynne Wilson Arts Center and Marquette University’s Womens’ Council. As a Board Member with the Waukesha County Community Foundation, Betty was one of the Co-Founders of the Women and Girls Fund.
Betty’s interest in Saint_John's began when she was a caregiver for both aging parents. Betty is a strong advocate of life-long learning and is thrilled to serve an organization that offers strong programming enhancing both physical and intellectual well-being.
Rev. Ian Burch serves on the board as the Bishop’s Designee. Rev. Burch was raised in Chugiak, Alaska. He attended Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota where he studied religion, Russian language and music. After completing Master of Divinity studies at the Lutheran School of Theology in Illinois, Rev. Burch spent one year as a Chaplain Resident at Rush University Medical Center. In 2005 Rev. Burch worked as a Board Certified Chaplain for eight years. He was ordained to the priesthood in 2014 and called as the associate rector at St. Chrysostom’s, Chicago. Rev. Burch began as Rector of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in 2016. In this diocese, he has served in the past as a president of the Commission on Ministry, a co-chair of a bishop search, a Fresh Start leader, and a member of the Cathedral Corporation. He is currently a doctoral student at The General Theological Seminary in New York, working on a qualitative research project studying newcomer retention in Episcopal churches.
Lee Coppernoll serves as Chair on the Governance Committee. She recently retired as the Associate Director of the Marquette University Haggerty Museum of Art. She holds a BA from Coe College, an AM from Brown University and a Masters of Divinity form Union Theological Seminary. As a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Lee is familiar with and appreciative of the innovative and holistic vision that shapes the many outstanding services Saint_John's provides to residents, and she looks forward to supporting these efforts as a member of the board.
David Eager’s career was in Health Care Finance. He was the CFO for three health care systems nationally, including Aurora Health Care in Wisconsin. He attended undergraduate and graduate school at UW Madison. David is now retired, but enjoys sharing his knowledge with those in need. He strongly believes in Saint_John's mission and is excited to be a Board member.
Kirsten Hildebrand is the founder of Hildebrand Law Firm, LLC, which since 2001 has served clients through elder law, estate planning, probate, trust and estate administration, inheritance-related litigation, real estate, small business, and family law. She holds a BA from Trinity International University (‘91) in English and Journalism, a JD from The University of Wisconsin-Madison (‘96) and is slowly working towards a Certificate in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary. Kirsten previously and currently serves on several educational and civic boards/committees. She is particularly passionate about educating and supporting people with their legal needs related to life’s transitions.
Alice Kuramoto, PHD, RN, FAAN, is a retired nursing professor who has worked at six universities, the Federal Government, and the regional nursing coordinator for the New England Board of Higher Education. Alice serves on the Governance Committee. She is nationally known in the field of continuing nursing education and was a pioneer in using technology for distance nursing education. She has her BS and MS degrees in Nursing from the U. of Iowa and U. of Minnesota, with a PhD in Adult and Continuing Education from the U. of Michigan.
Her first contact with Saint John’s was in 2012 when she was hired as an independent contractor to teach Tai Chi to the residents. At that time, she was very impressed with the facility and staff. In 2019, she moved to Saint John’s and has provided leadership in various committees. She is honored to serve on the Board.
Dan Patrinos’ 40 years in journalism includes a stint as founding editor of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s news website. Education: BS in journalism from Marquette University; post-graduate studies in journalism at the University of Missouri-Columbia; MS in urban studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Among a wide-range of news events, he covered Apollo moon landings for the Milwaukee Sentinel. After retiring from the news business, he managed the Medical College of Wisconsin website. He is a trustee of the Wisconsin Marine Historical Society and an ardent genealogist and photographer. He and his wife, Kay, moved to Saint_John's in 2012.
The Rev. Seth Raymond is the Rector of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Milwaukee.
Seth comes to St. Paul’s from a dual ministry as director of the Hospitality Center and Rector of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Racine. He also served previously as Assistant Rector at Christ Church Whitefish Bay.
Seth’s journey has been varied, including work with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, teenage girls with behavioral disorders, and as an Episcopal missionary in Taiwan.
A lifelong learner, Seth earned degrees in Sociology, Music Education, Theology, and Nonprofit Management. His broad experiences living and working with those who are the most vulnerable deeply inform his commitment to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, who is God with Us.
Seth is married to Lara and together they enjoy parenting four children.
Polly Beal serves on the Finance Committee. She is a former member of the Wisconsin State Assembly and a fundraising consultant. She earned a BA degree in Political Science from Boston University. Her board service includes Columbia Health Systems Board, University School, Milwaukee Art Museum, Skylight Music Theater, among others. Her interest in Saint_John's began in 2010 when she realized the need for quality options for older adults. As a member of Christ Church Episcopal, she finds her work important to the many friends who are current residents and for those who may live at Saint_John's in the future.
