Saint John's On The Lake is mission-driven, service-oriented, and committed to providing excellent care to residents. In 1983, these core values guided Saint John's to establish a charitable foundation to serve two purposes. Provide a funding source for residents whose assets are no longer adequate to cover their needs and to assist donors who wish to provide financial support to the organization.
- Annually, Saint John's On The Lake provides significant charitable support for quality care to residents and clients in need.
- While Saint John's On The Lake maintains a solid Episcopal presence and was founded by churchwomen, it does not receive financial support from the church.
- Saint John's ministry to the aging - providing healthcare services, offering spiritual programs and presenting cultural opportunities, requires substantial resources.
WAYS TO CONTRIBUTE
There are a number of ways to make a gift to Saint John's On The Lake. The Director of Development is available to assist donors who are considering an individualized estate plan or who have other questions related to giving.
Gifts of cash make an immediate impact on all aspects of life today and for the future.
Gifts of appreciated stocks with a long term holding period result in Saint John's receiving the full market value of the asset while the donor avoids capital gains tax yet receives a tax deduction for the full value of the gift.
Bequest gifts can be outlined in your will or added as a codicil. This allows the donor to perpetuate a personal commitment to the mission of Saint John's On The Lake. The donor can leave a percentage of an estate, the residue of an estate, identified property, or a specific dollar amount.
Tribute gifts are a unique and lasting way to honor the memory of a loved one who has died, or to recognize a special occasion, like the birth of a child, a wedding, anniversary, or birthday.
Gift annuities provide donors with annual guaranteed life income (partially tax-free) while helping to reduce estate taxes and to support Saint John's On The Lake.
Gifts of life insurance are possible by exchanging existing policies or acquiring a new one to benefit Saint John's On The Lake.
All donations to Saint John's are tax deductible as provided by law. Gifts may be unrestricted or tied to a specific interest of the donor. Recognition is offered to all donors; of course, Saint John's On The Lake respects the wishes of donors who prefer to remain anonymous.
Your financial contribution will assure a strong and vital vision for current and future residents of Saint John's On The Lake. With this support, Saint John's can plan for an even brighter future - rich with tradition, legacy, and opportunity.
The Office of Development at Saint John's On The Lake is in partnership with Generations United, the Leave-a-Legacy Society, the National Council on Aging, the National Committee on Planned Giving, the Association for Fundraising Professionals, and the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee.
