At Saint_John's On The Lake, we focus on individualized care with a true purpose on the strength and wellness of each person throughout our entire community.

Individual Needs and Preferences

The Residents at Saint_John's On The Lake direct their own care by expressing individual needs and preferences – including those with diminished cognitive abilities.

Caregivers get to know the resident’s life history, personal accomplishments and preferences and help them retain more control over their own care. Our philosophy focuses on the strength and wellness of the individual.

Although the person-centered philosophy started at Saint_John's in the care neighborhoods, today it influences daily life throughout the entire community.

"When I walked into the North Tower lobby, I knew instantly that this was going to be our new home. Once my husband and I settled in, I was quickly introduced to a new volunteer opportunity: the library. Today, I lead a group of volunteers who process the many donated books. I also monitor funds to purchase new titles and started the Classics Book Group. It grew so large, it had to be split into morning and afternoon sessions."

"In the 1980s, I called to see if my firm could get on the list for construction projects at Saint_John's. We have been working on the campus ever since. What a great client Saint_John's has been over the years! During the South Tower construction, we had a room where residents could come and observe. Some got so excited; they would watch the progress every day. Now my wife and I are looking forward to becoming residents."
