Saint John’s Virtual Ribbon-Cutting Marks the Completion of a Major Expansion
Saint John’s On The Lake, 1840 N. Prospect Avenue. Saint John’s will virtually celebrate the opening of our Expansion: Phase 3 – which adds 22-stories (422,000 square feet) to the campus and connects all three Towers. On March 30, Saint John’s President & CEO, Renée Anderson, Director of Spiritual Services, Jana Troutman-Miller, and members of the project team will offer opening remarks, a blessing and unveil the 27,000 square feet of new community space in the Town Center. The ceremony will be seen using Zoom and Touchtown – a campus-wide app which enables residents to stay informed, connected and engaged within the community.
This 22-story, 422,000 square foot North Tower replaced the 1979, 3-story health center building with 25 Skilled Care suites, 25 Assisted Living suites, 25 suites for Memory Support on three floors each with gracious living areas, an open kitchen offering made to order meals, a sun filled lounge and an outdoor terrace. Sixteen new Catered Living apartments with daily living and nursing support available around the clock now supplement the continuum of care. The upper floors feature 79 apartments for older adults living independently.
According to Renée Anderson, President of Saint John’s On The Lake, “This project re-creates health care at Saint John’s in a way that respects resident needs and wishes, incorporates best practice, supports ongoing innovation and responds to the desire to provide employees an opportunity to deliver excellence, in furtherance of our mission to ‘enrich the lives of older adults.’ We are now able to provide residents living in skilled care and assisted living with the highest quality residential experience and more efficient service. as well as serve more older adults in memory support and independent living apartments.”
