Our Leadership

Ms. Spars joined Saint John’s in 1984 as an Administrative Assistant. She has received numerous promotions to director, administrator, vice president overseeing multiple departments and most recently, Executive Director of the Institute On Aging. She has spoken at state and national conferences primarily on communication, education and wellness. Ms. Spars currently serves on the Advisory Board for James Madison Academic High School.

Kent’s career was in in the ministry and higher education, particularly in multicultural settings in the U.S. and abroad. Until retiring in 2002, Kent was the Executive Minister at the First Unitarian Society of Madison. Into retirement, he was chief bioethics officer for Elder Care of Wisconsin, headed The ARC of Wisconsin, was a leader in establishing Community Connections, a free-health clinic in Southwest Wisconsin, and consulted with the Wisconsin Medical Association to implement an evidence-based advanced care planning initiative based on the principles of Respecting Choices.

Kent is active at Saint John’s planning LifeStreams programming, the annual Symposia On Aging, and the Institute On Aging. He has recently been named to Milwaukee County’s Board of the Aging and Disabilities Resource Centers.

Ms. Bell joined Saint John’s On The Lake in 1999. She is the Secretary of Saint John’s On The Lake Communities Foundation and is responsible for raising funds for the Foundation, operations, and capital projects. Ms. Bell is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Planned Giving Council of SE Wisconsin; she holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Eastern Kentucky University as well as a certificate of Bioethics from the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Mr. Lemminger joined Saint John’s On The Lake in 2011. He previously spent 18 years with Extendicare Health Services, Inc., most recently as the Senior Director of Reimbursement Services. Mr. Lemminger, a CPA, also worked in the audit division of Arthur Andersen & Co. Mr. Lemminger earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dan is married with three children.

Ms. McGinnis joined Saint John’s On The Lake in 2007. She previously worked in the Marketing Department at St. Michael Hospital in Milwaukee. Ms. McGinnis holds a Bachelor of Arts – Mass Communications, from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
